UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE

Two types of investment relationship.

Brokerage and advisory accounts serve different purposes. The firm's relationship summary explains how services, decision-making, and charges differ. Ask which applies to you.

Brokerage

Buying and selling securities at your direction.

  • You decide whether to approve a transaction.
  • The firm's summary says brokerage accounts do not include monitoring or discretionary trading.
  • Costs generally relate to transactions and products.

Investment advisory

Services can include asset management, financial planning, and consulting.

  • Trading authority depends on your written agreement.
  • Services and investment approach depend on the program.
  • Charges may include asset-based, planning, or consulting fees.

Fees and investment expenses reduce returns, and apply even when investments lose value. Compensation can create conflicts of interest. Request the current relationship summary, fee information, and agreement before choosing a service.

RESOURCES AVAILABLE THROUGH THE FIRM

More than one way to approach a goal.

Investment choices

The firm's published solutions include stocks, bonds, ETFs, and mutual funds.

Advisory programs

Money Concepts lists managed-account options and third-party management among its advisory resources.

Advanced planning

Its broader resources include insurance and advanced-planning support.

Availability depends on the professional's registrations, the program, and your location. A firm's full menu is not a promise that every option is offered by Jeff or appropriate for you.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

Good questions lead to better conversations.

Is Money Concepts the same business as AccountMaster?

No. AccountMaster is an independent firm. Securities are offered through Money Concepts Capital Corp.; its advisory trade name is Money Concepts Advisory Service. Ask which firm and professional will handle each part of your relationship.

Does this page recommend an investment mix?

No. The topic guide helps organize questions. An appropriate investment mix depends on your circumstances and objectives. Diversification and asset allocation do not guarantee a profit or prevent losses.

What should I ask about fees?

Ask for the total cost of the proposed service, including product expenses, account charges, and any exit or surrender fees. Ask how the professional is paid and how potential conflicts are addressed.

Will my account receive ongoing monitoring?

Do not assume monitoring is included. Ask for the specific review and monitoring terms of the proposed agreement, including who is responsible and how frequently reviews occur.

Does registration mean an investment is guaranteed?

No. Regulatory registration is not an endorsement or a guarantee of investment results. Investments can lose value.
